Job Description

To support a growing healthcare team, a full-time Kentucky Licensed Medical Coder will assign accurate diagnostic and procedure codes, ensuring compliance with clinical documentation and coding guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Assign accurate diagnostic and procedure codes for outpatient hospital professional accounts Monitor work queues to ensure timely coding and charging of records Generate coding queries for clarification regarding physician documentation as needed Required qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (CPC-A, RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CPC, COC, CPC-P, CCS) 2+ years of experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding 2+ years of experience with multi-specialty surgical coding 2+ years of experience with PCs in a Windows environment, including MS Excel and EMR systems
