Key responsibilities Abstract relevant clinical and demographic information to assign ICD-9 and CPT-4 codes accurately Maintain a coding accuracy of 97% based on internal quality assurance reviews Collaborate with medical staff to gather necessary diagnostic information and update coding procedures Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a course in medical record technology Minimum one year of medical coding experience required; three years preferred Applicable certification preferred Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding systems highly desirable
