Seeking a motivated and experienced CPC Certified Senior Coder with over 5 years of Surgical Cardiology coding experience, this full-time remote position will analyze medical records, assign appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes, and provide training and mentorship to new coders. Key responsibilities Accurately code diagnostic and procedural information in accordance with national coding guidelines Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes from medical records for electronic documentation Provide quality assurance for medical records, ensuring compliance with coding rules and regulations Required qualifications Active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification with a minimum of 5 years of complex coding experience in Surgical Cardiology High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in medical record keeping Demonstrated knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining high-quality performance outcomes Experience with coding software and abstracting systems
