Managing the appeal of unpaid claims, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Appeals Coder will work remotely from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, collaborating with insurance carriers and ensuring accurate claim resolutions. Key responsibilities Review and appeal unpaid claims on a daily basis Work with insurance carriers to resolve appeal issues and provide feedback to the coding department Ensure accurate payment by reviewing remits and denials for accuracy Required qualifications High School education or GED required Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification through AAPC or CCA, CCS, or CCS-P certification through AHIMA required Preferred 3 years of prior coding experience Experience working with medical insurance
