Responsible for abstracting data from medical records, the full-time Florida Licensed Coder I will identify and code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities Abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360 for detailed case summaries Identify and code primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures for outpatient records Ensure compliance with coding procedures mandated by government and payers, including HCC codes Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of outpatient coding experience or completion of a coding course CPC, COC, CPC-P, or CCS certification required Additional certification such as CRC, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA required One coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA is required
