Job Description

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Kentucky Licensed Radiology Coder will abstract and assign valid CPT, ICD-10, and HCPC codes to ensure appropriate reimbursement while meeting established guidelines and compliance standards. Key responsibilities Accurately abstract information and assign appropriate codes into billing systems, ensuring compliance with guidelines Review and resolve coding denials while maintaining timely completion of charge sessions in assigned work queues Participate in special projects and maintain daily communication with office managers and providers Required qualifications High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required) One to four years of physician coding experience (preferred) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) accredited by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) (required) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician Based (CCS-P), or Certified Coding Assistant (CCA) accredited by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) (required)
