To support optimal reimbursement and quality reporting, the full-time remote ProFee Coder will be responsible for coding and abstracting diagnoses and procedures from medical records while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Key responsibilities: Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for various specialty service accounts and abstract key data elements for billing Review medical records for clinical pertinence and communicate with providers to clarify documentation for accurate coding Resolve claim edits related to emergency department encounters and assist with coding errors for outpatient visits as needed Required qualifications: Credentials such as RHIT, RHIA, CEDC, COC, CPC, CCS-P, or CCS Three or more years of coding experience Thorough knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems, as well as federal/state reimbursement regulations Experience working in a remote environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
