Job Description

To support anatomical pathology services, the full-time remote Certified Coder II will be responsible for the timely and accurate coding of hospital-based professional services, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. Key responsibilities Accurately code diagnoses and procedure codes from medical record documentation for outpatient and inpatient services Maintain current knowledge of coding standards and regulations through continuous education and professional development Collaborate with team members and provide education to physicians to ensure proper documentation for coding accuracy Required qualifications Active coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA Two years of medical coding experience in a similar environment High school diploma or GED equivalent Familiarity with Medicare and Teaching Physician Rules Experience in coding physician professional services in a teaching environment
