To support the anesthesia departments, the full-time remote Anesthesia Coder will review medical documentation, assign appropriate coding for diagnoses and procedures, and ensure compliance with billing standards. Key responsibilities Perform detailed coding of anesthesia services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines Conduct chart audits and resolve coding edits and denials, providing feedback to healthcare providers Maintain coding credentials and participate in education for providers and co-workers regarding coding practices Required qualifications Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience of at least 2 years Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, COC, CCS) Minimum of 2 years of experience in anesthesia coding/auditing within a surgical environment Advanced proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, ASA, and HCPCS coding Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and insurance reimbursement policies
