To ensure compliance with coding standards, the full-time Certified Professional Coder - MD will manage diagnostic and procedure coding for surgical services, assist in resolving complex coding issues, and contribute to the development of educational materials while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Research and assign HCPCS Level II codes for ambulatory surgical services and professional services Provide support to coding staff by resolving complex coding cases and issues Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical groups to develop and communicate coding guidelines Required qualifications: Minimum five years of experience in a healthcare setting with proficiency in medical terminology Minimum four years of coding experience and knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements Associates degree in health administration or RHIT certification, or two years of relevant experience Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based certification Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
