To support a growing medical coding team, the full-time E/M Orthopedic Surgery Coder will review medical records to accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, focusing on orthopedic surgery and evaluation & management coding in a fully remote environment. Key Responsibilities Review medical records and physician documentation to accurately assign coding Perform E/M coding based on medical decision-making and time, ensuring compliance with guidelines Code orthopedic physician and surgical services, applying appropriate modifiers and maintaining documentation standards Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduation from an accredited institution Active professional medical coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, COC) Minimum of 3 years of professional medical coding experience, specifically in E/M and orthopedic surgery coding Experience with MEDITECH EHR system Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including modifier application and global surgical package rules
