To support a growing health system, the full-time Senior Certified Professional Coder will accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to outpatient records, manage billing and collections for assigned client databases, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Assign and sequence ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for various patient types, including inpatient and outpatient records Review and analyze medical records for deficiencies, ensuring accurate documentation reflects diagnoses and procedures Abstract clinical data and verify patient account accuracy to support billing, reimbursement, and reporting processes Required qualifications: 2+ years of coding experience in an acute care or medical office setting Nationally recognized coding certification such as CCA, CCS, or CPC Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices 2+ years of experience with electronic medical record systems Strong understanding of medical terminology and health information management procedures
