Certified Coder - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Description

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time Certified Coder - Obstetrics and Gynecology will review medical record documentation to determine appropriate billing codes, code evaluations and management to CPT codes, and collaborate with physicians on documentation and coding issues in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding Code evaluations and management to appropriate CPT codes and diagnoses to ICD-10 codes Assist coders and physicians with documentation requirements and prepare case reports for billing follow-up Required qualifications Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, or CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A) No specific work experience is required for this position A diploma, certification, or degree is not required Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred Previous coding experience or an associate's degree in a related field is preferred
