Job Description

Working remotely, the full-time California Licensed Multi-Specialty Coder will assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for patients, ensuring accurate coding and optimal reimbursement while adhering to coding guidelines and regulations. Key responsibilities Perform accurate and timely coding using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes Maintain familiarity with coding regulations and guidelines for multi-specialty surgical practices Identify coding trends and issues, presenting solutions to improve practices within the division Required qualifications Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) required; Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) preferred High school diploma or GED required Completion of courses in ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding from an accredited coding program preferred Minimum of 3 years of coding experience in a multi-specialty medical group or physician practice preferred Familiarity with California and National reporting requirements
