To lead quality peer review efforts within a Surgical Coding team, the remote Colorado Licensed Senior Surgical Coder will manage audits of coding staff, provide education based on audit results, and support coding analysis and feedback initiatives. Key responsibilities Serve as a coding expert for surgical specialties and maintain records of quality peer reviews Collaborate with the Audit, Compliance & Education (ACE) team on audit results and prepare educational presentations for coders Identify coding trends and educational opportunities to enhance compliance and coder performance Required qualifications 3+ years of surgical coding experience with expertise in procedural and diagnosis coding CPC or equivalent AHIMA coding certification is required; CPMA or other specialty certifications are preferred Strong knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding rules and guidelines Experience with EMR (Epic) and Practice Management software Proficiency in reporting and analytics, along with strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
