To support a special client project over the next 4-6 weeks, the part-time PRN VA Licensed Inpatient Medical Coder will work remotely, coding PTF charts in ICD-10 with a focus on maintaining high accuracy and productivity standards. Key responsibilities Code PTF charts in ICD-10 while adhering to site-specific coding guidelines Achieve minimum per-hour productivity with 95% accuracy in coding Review and abstract health record information to ensure compliance with coding standards Required qualifications At least 2 years of medical coding experience with the VA Active credentials as a certified coder with completion of all maintenance requirements Formal training in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and reimbursement methodologies Familiarity with coding in VIP and various coding screens (101, 401, 501, 601, 701) Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and DRG assignment
