To support coding operations in ophthalmology, optometry, and podiatry, the full-time State Licensed Medical Coder II will complete medical coding, assist with documentation compliance, and review ambulatory medical records remotely. Key responsibilities: Complete medical coding by translating clinical information into coded data and ensuring adherence to coding guidelines Assist with documentation and coding compliance by following applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies Perform denial review and processing while collaborating with clinicians and coding staff to resolve coding issues Required qualifications: Minimum two (2) years of professional coding experience High School Diploma or GED or equivalent AND minimum two (2) years of coding experience, or two (2) years of coding experience with one (1) year in a corporate or business office environment Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Professional Coder, or Certified Coding Specialist required at hire
