Job Description

To support a remote coding team, the full-time Certified Coder II - E/M will abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360, identify and code diagnoses and procedures according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines, and ensure compliance with coding procedures mandated by government and payers. Key responsibilities Abstract data from medical records to create detailed case summaries Identify and code diagnoses and procedures, including primary and secondary diagnoses Ensure compliance with government and payer coding procedures for various medical records Required qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year of outpatient multidisciplinary coding or Provider E&M Level of Service Coding experience required At least one coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA is required Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines Familiarity with coding for Surgical Records and Evaluation & Management Encounters preferred
