To support coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time Certified Medical Coder - Georgia will perform medical coding for ophthalmology, optometry, and podiatry, review medical records, and assist in denial processing while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Complete medical coding by translating clinical information into appropriate codes following established guidelines Review ambulatory medical records to identify and remediate coding edits and assist in denial review and processing Collaborate with clinicians and coding staff to resolve coding issues and ensure compliance with regulations Required qualifications: Minimum two (2) years of professional coding experience High School Diploma or GED or equivalent AND minimum two (2) years of coding experience, or two (2) years of coding experience and one (1) year in a corporate or business office environment Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Professional Coder, or Certified Coding Specialist required at hire
