Medical Biller (Full Cycle) Addison Group is hiring a Full Cycle Medical Biller on behalf of our client for a contract-to-hire opportunity within a physician practice management environment. This is a hands-on, independent role supporting multiple clients and managing the full billing lifecycle. The position offers exposure to both operational billing work and client communication, making it ideal for someone who is confident working claims from start to finish and comfortable interacting directly with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Submit and manage claims within designated practice management systems on a daily basis
Post electronic remittance advice (ERA) and manual payments accurately to patient accounts
Investigate and resolve payment variances, including underpayments and overpayments
Track and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement
Handle claim denials, including gathering supporting documentation and submitting appeals
Communicate professionally with clients and patients regarding account status and updates
Assist with account clean-up initiatives and ongoing billing projects as assigned
Generate monthly patient statements and support reporting needs for clients and internal teams
Maintain compliance with billing guidelines while meeting productivity and quality expectations
Support additional revenue cycle tasks, including credentialing or account management when needed
Requirements Minimum of 3+ years of experience in full-cycle medical billing or revenue cycle management
Strong background in physician/professional billing (CMS-1500 claims preferred)
Experience handling billing, insurance follow-up, and account resolution activities
Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding principles
Working knowledge of revenue cycle workflows and billing systems
Experience with platforms such as Epic, PracticeSuite, Trizetto, or similar systems preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall computer literacy
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and patients
Independent, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
