Job Description

To support professional fee coding accuracy, the remote contract Physician Coding Educator will deliver targeted education to physicians and coding staff, conduct chart reviews and coding audits, and identify documentation gaps across ASC, surgical, and outpatient environments. Key responsibilities Deliver education and training to physicians and coding staff to improve coding accuracy and compliance Conduct chart reviews and coding audits to identify documentation gaps and provide actionable feedback Analyze coding trends and collaborate with leadership to enhance documentation improvement initiatives Required qualifications CPC (AAPC) or CCS or CCS-P (AHIMA) certification required 3+ years of experience in Professional Fee coding across physician, ASC, surgical, or outpatient settings Experience in physician-facing education and ability to deliver both 1:1 and group training Proficiency in conducting chart reviews, coding audits, and validating documentation accuracy Knowledge of documentation standards, compliance requirements, and audit readiness practices
