Responsible for coding medical records remotely, the full-time Florida Licensed Coder I will abstract data into Epic and 3M 360, ensuring accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines. Key responsibilities Abstract data from medical records to create detailed case summaries Identify and code primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures for ED, Diagnostic, and Ancillary records Ensure compliance with coding procedures mandated by government and payers, including APC assignments and HCC codes Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of outpatient coding experience or completion of a coding course CPC, COC, CPC-P, CCS, or other relevant coding certification required Certification as a CRC, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA required Additional specialty certifications from AAPC or AHIMA will be considered
