Seeking a Same Day Surgery Coder, the full-time remote position will review medical records for outpatient surgical procedures and assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes (CPT and ICD-10) to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement. Key responsibilities: Apply coding classification standards and guidelines to medical record documentation for accurate coding Submit provider queries to resolve documentation discrepancies and perform quality assessments of records Abstract and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for all diagnoses and procedures in outpatient and surgical settings Required qualifications: AHIMA/AAPC credentials Five or more years of auditing experience Experience in facility outpatient surgery and observation Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams Experience working in a remote environment
