To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Remote OP Facility Coder will be responsible for coding inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, and maintaining high accuracy and productivity standards. Key responsibilities Code various types of medical records using ICD-9/10 CM and CPT-4 classification systems, demonstrating expertise in multiple service areas or specific specialties Review patient medical records to assign appropriate codes for financial reimbursement and compliance with federal regulations Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and guidelines Required qualifications High school diploma or GED required One of the following coding certifications at time of hire: HCS-D, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or RHIT/RHIA, with achievement of one within one year of hire Three to five years of experience as a coder required Inpatient coding experience preferred
