Job Description

To support the coding and documentation quality assurance team, the full-time Remote New Mexico Licensed Pro Fee Coder will manage compliance with coding policies and regulations, perform internal audits, and develop educational programs while working from home. Key responsibilities Serve as a liaison to various departments to address coding, auditing, compliance, and training issues Research and implement corrective action plans for coding and billing compliance issues Assist in creating the annual audit work-plan by utilizing regulatory guidelines and risk assessments Required qualifications High school diploma/GED required; must possess one of the following certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CPC, or CCS Minimum of three years of experience in coding and/or auditing Proficient knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer regulations Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
