Experience: Minimum 3 years recent inpatient and outpatient coding experience required. Coders must have the ability to crossover between all coding types (IP, OP, ASC, ER) and maintain a 95% coding accuracy across the board. Technical skills: Computer proficiency, analytical skills, ICD 9-CM/CPT coding knowledge License/certification: Credentialed as RHIT/RHIA or CCS required Other: Demonstrated knowledge of coding procedures, extensive reimbursement system knowledge, written and verbal communication skills. Must possess excellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
