To support healthcare facilities remotely, the full-time or part-time Inpatient Facility Medical Coder will review medical records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure accurate coding while meeting productivity and quality standards. Key responsibilities Review medical records to identify and select principal diagnoses and procedures for accurate DRG assignment Utilize IKS Health applications to code charts in real-time and maintain productivity and quality performance Participate in team meetings, training, and coding roundtables to enhance knowledge and skills in coding and Health Information Management Required qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of recent inpatient coding experience at a large acute care facility CCS coding credential required Proficiency with Cerner, Epic, and 3M 360 coding systems Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles and guidelines Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and disease processes
