Responsible for coding inpatient records, the full-time Certified Coder - Texas will ensure coding and DRG accuracy, maintain relationships with various healthcare teams, and utilize the 3M Encoder to classify medical records according to ICD-10-CM/PCS. Key responsibilities Perform inpatient coding and DRG assignment with a focus on accuracy and timeliness Collaborate with Coding Manager, CDI team, and Case Management staff to maintain coding standards Utilize the 3M Encoder for accurate classification of medical records and assist with outpatient coding as needed Required qualifications Three to five years of coding experience, with a preference for inpatient coding Advanced training in medical coding, including ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and APC Certification from AHIMA (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCA) or AAPC Coding Certification High school diploma, GED, or higher education required Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
