Offering a fully remote opportunity, the full-time Arizona Licensed Acute Care Coder will analyze medical records to assign ICD-10 CM diagnoses and ICD-10 PCS procedures while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. Key responsibilities Analyzes medical records to accurately code diagnostic and procedural information in accordance with national coding guidelines Abstracts clinical diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring complete records by seeking out missing information Provides coding quality assurance for medical records, ensuring compliance with coding rules and regulations Required qualifications High school diploma/GED or equivalent with specialized training in medical record keeping principles Active certification as a CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA with AHIMA or AAPC Three or more years of inpatient coding experience in an Acute Care facility Knowledge of ICD-10 CM and PCS coding principles Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using common office programs and coding software
