Job Description

To support a growing revenue cycle team, the full-time remote Georgia Licensed Surgical Coder will review, analyze, and code medical record documentation for surgical specialties, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with medical necessity standards. Key responsibilities Review and code medical record documentation for general surgical specialties using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes Audit orders and claims for accuracy and completeness to minimize claim denials Provide technical guidance to physicians and departmental staff on coding issues and documentation requirements Required qualifications H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required Coding Certificate program (AAPC accredited) preferred Coding experience required, with preference for experience across multiple specialties One or more required certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P
