The Health Information Management Department supports the mission and goals of Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale, and Grace Medical Center by providing appropriate and timely access to health information for continuity of patient care and other authorized requests. Key Responsibilities Follow established conventions and guidelines to code and abstract the medical records of a diverse population of facility outpatient records. Assist with coding and leveling ERs and with coding and charging infusion cases as needed. Review medical records to determine the provider’s diagnoses/procedures for outpatient records (ER, infusion, other outpatient) and assign ICD‑10CM/PCS or CPT codes. Abstract predetermined information from ER and outpatient records and enter that information onto the medical record abstract. Requirements Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate’s degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. One to three years of experience. Certifications: CCS, COC, RHIA, or RHIT. Additional Information Remote position (100% remote) eligible in the states listed above. Sign‑on bonus eligible up to $10,000.
