Job Description

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time remote Dual Orthopedic Medical Coder will provide coding and abstracting services for inpatient, outpatient, and clinic visits, utilizing ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 data sets while ensuring compliance with established coding principles. Key responsibilities Review medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures for coding Abstract information from medical records according to client guidelines and coding standards Mentor and provide training to new coders while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations Required qualifications Certification as CPC, COC, CIC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA Minimum of 3 years of experience in both Orthopedic Profee and Facility coding Experience with coding Clinic E&M, diagnoses, and CPTs Proficiency in Neurology coding Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding principles and guidelines
