About this Position
The Coder II accurately applies the correct ICD-10CM and CPT coding with appropriate modifiers, analysis and data entry performed on inpatient and outpatient's services in either the professional services or in hospital setting for billing customer accounts and ensures accurate clinical data base is maintained. The incumbent will also ensure compliance of coding and documentation for reimbursement according to federal regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
Education
Graduate from approved coding specialist program required.
Certification through AAPC or AHIMA required.
Maintenance of certification and continuing education hours required.
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of coding experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Mets department quality and productivity requirements.
Continuous learner focused on quality coding.
Ability to be self-motivated with time management and critical-thinking skills.
Independent and self-motivated.
Certification through AAPC or AHIMA. Maintenance of continuing education hours.
Licensure/Certification
Coding Certified through AAPC or AHIMA
