Job Description

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time remote Oncology Surgery Coder will review and accurately code professional services, including evaluation and management, diagnostics, surgeries, and procedures, ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer guidelines. Key responsibilities Review and accurately code Oncology Surgery and E/M cases to maximize reimbursement in a timely manner Communicate with leadership on coding or documentation issues/trends and participate in coding department meetings Stay current on all coding guidelines and maintain credentials while meeting daily production and quality goals Required qualifications High School diploma required; Associates or BS degree preferred Successful completion of at least one AHIMA or AAPC certified program with a CPC or CCS-P certification required Minimum of 5 years physician coding experience, with at least 3 years in Oncology Surgery Proficient knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10 coding, and Medicare/Medicaid billing policies Experience working remotely is preferred; auditing experience is a plus
