Reviewing medical records for outpatient surgical procedures, the full-time SDS Coder will assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes (CPT and ICD-10) to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement in a remote environment. Key responsibilities: Apply coding classification standards and guidelines to medical record documentation for accurate coding Submit provider queries to resolve documentation discrepancies and perform quality assessments of records Abstract and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for all diagnoses and procedures in outpatient and surgical settings Required qualifications: AHIMA/AAPC Credentials Five or more years of auditing experience Experience in physician surgery coding preferred Facility outpatient surgery and observation experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
