To support a variety of specialties, the Professional Fee Coder (ProFee) will work remotely in a full-time, part-time, or PRN capacity, reviewing provider documentation and assigning accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes to ensure compliant coding and revenue integrity. Key responsibilities Review provider documentation to assign accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines Maintain a coding accuracy of 95% or higher and meet established productivity standards through independent work Participate in quality reviews, audits, and ongoing coding education to identify documentation gaps and ensure accurate charge capture Required qualifications Active CPC, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT credential in good standing Minimum of 2-3 years of professional fee coding experience, preferably in hospital-based or physician practice environments Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and NCCI edits Ability to work independently in a remote environment with high attention to detail Experience coding complex surgical cases and familiarity with specialty-specific coding structures
