Working remotely, the ED Coder with AHIMA Certification will perform accurate code assignments for emergency department records while ensuring a coding quality of 95% or greater and meeting client productivity targets. Key responsibilities Perform accurate coding assignments for ED records in both facility and professional fee settings Maintain a committed regular schedule with reliable and punctual attendance Utilize office software and remote connectivity tools to manage data and communicate effectively Required qualifications AHIMA or AAPC certification A minimum of three years' experience coding ED records in an acute care setting Technical competency with remote-based connectivity, including VPNs and video conferencing platforms Proficiency in office software, particularly Outlook and Excel Ability to adapt to change and work independently in a remote environment
