Job Description Our Outpatient Coding team is seeking a coder to join their team! Although we will consider new coders for this role, preference will be given to candidates with experience in outpatient hospital coding. Please note: only candidates in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas will be considered. Preference given to candidates who reside closest to our Kansas City Corporate office. Review clinical documentation as appropriate to extract data and assign appropriate ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance. Appropriately assign codes for diagnoses and procedures as determined by the clinical documentation. Ability to determine first listed diagnosis, secondary diagnoses, and surgical procedures. Analyze documentation and abstract pertinent data. Must maintain minimum quality and productivity standards.
