divh2Inpatient Coder/h2pOur client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for an Inpatient Coder to work remotely./ppResponsibilities:/pulliReview documentation to code diagnosis and procedures/liliCommunicate with physicians to obtain or clarify diagnosis and/or procedures via the query process/liliAssign accurate codes utilizing an electronic encoder application in accordance with practice policy and regulatory guidelines/liliPerform Peer Reviews of Company Health Information Management coding auditors and coders/liliComplete reports as requested/liliMaintain minimum accuracy rate of 98% while meeting internal productivity standards set by company/liliMaintain productivity expectations: inpatient 24 encounters per day, 3 encounters per hour, 20 minutes to code each encounter/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliAHIMA credential/liliMinimum 3 years IP coding experience at an Academic/Trauma Level 1 facility/liliAPR DRG experience/liliExperience must include all IP areas/service types anything and everything an inpatient admission would be required for/liliCCS, RHIT or RHIA (AHIMA)/liliMinimum of two years of facility based inpatient experience/liliKnowledge of Federal, state and payer regulations/liliCapable of interpreting medical records reports and chart entries/liliAble to work independently and as a team member/liliCapable of applying judgment and decision making/liliBase office skills (Word, Excel)/liliPass Coding Assessment with score 80% or greater./li/ulpWhy Should You Apply?/pulliHealth Benefits/liliReferral Program/liliExcellent growth and advancement opportunities/li/ulpICONMA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
