Overview Senior HB Coder - Remote at LCMC Health Position details: Remote coding role focusing on ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignments for inpatient and ambulatory records across multiple specialties. The Coding Senior may perform functions of a Coding Specialist I as assigned. Responsibilities Proficiently navigates patient health records and other systems to accurately determine diagnosis and procedure codes, MS-DRGs/APCs, and all required modifiers. Validate charges by comparing charges with health record documentation as necessary. Communicate effectively with clinical staff, physicians, and other stakeholders regarding documentation needs related to inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory coding. Identify concerns and notify leadership for resolution; provide resolutions to moderate to complex problems.
