Job Description The HB IP Coder reviews, interprets, and translates provider medical diagnostic and procedural documentation into appropriate codes following hospital inpatient claims and reporting requirements. The HB Inpatient Coder initiates provider queries as needed to support accurate and comprehensive code assignment. Qualifications Associate degree required and a minimum of 3 years of relevant hospital inpatient coding experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or coding credential of a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) required.
