This role requires at least two years of hands-on coding experience in multiple surgical specialties, including but not limited to orthopedics, general surgery, cardiology, neurosurgery, and gastroenterology. A certification alone does not meet the qualifications-practical coding experience is required. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding and a deep understanding of payer guidelines, surgical coding complexities, and revenue cycle management.
