The ED Coder is responsible for accurately assigning ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 diagnosis and procedure codes to emergency department records. This role ensures proper identification of facility and procedure-level codes in compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Reviews ED records to ensure complete and accurate documentation to support all diagnoses and procedures.
