Medical Coding Specialist Codes medical observation, outpatient, emergency room and/or ambulatory surgery discharge records for the purpose of reimbursement, research and compliance with federal regulations according to diagnosis, invasive and non-invasive procedures using ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 classification systems.
