Job Summary: The  Business Office Certified Coder reviews coding and documentation for all services provided by the practice through chart auditing as well as AR denials and provides ongoing education to providers regarding coding and documentation while exercising discretion and independent judgment .  Essential Duties: Audits physician and non-physician provider documentation for compliance with carrier and billing regulations.  Tracks and maintains records of all audits, results of conducted audits, and education. Develops a pass/fail system and re-audit procedure based on audit results. Participates and assists actively with external audits.
