Thank you for your interest in our coding externship at Loudoun Medical Group (LMG). This is an AAPC partnered program that allows newly credentialed coders the opportunity to get ‘real-world’ practical medical coding experience.   We currently do not offer any remote opportunities at this time.  Please be aware that this is a volunteer on-site opportunity at our medical campus in Leesburg, Virginia , that guarantees 160 flexible hours (you set your own schedule) and exclusively open only to certified candidates that have either completed a formal coding education program or have previous healthcare experience.  In order to obtain the in-depth coding experience, you need to really master your new coding skills, a limited number of candidates are allowed to participate in our program at any one time. 99% of our externs are employed (by us or an external employer) before their volunteer assignment is over.  The selected candidate may audit, abstract and/or code for various...
