Medical Coder The Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center (VAMC) has a requirement for medical coding of inpatient, outpatient, and observation encounters. The contractor is responsible for providing accurate and complete medical coding services in accordance with VA guidelines, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards, and must maintain an overall coding accuracy rate of 95% or above. Accuracy is paramount, and the Coder must maintain strict adherence to VA national policy, local VAMC policy, and applicable federal regulations governing coding of protected health information.
