Medical Biller This position is required to perform all duties of the Medical Biller. This position will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing acceptable professional and ethical standards for billing of the Southern Colorado Clinics medical staff according to its policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. Responsible for all facets of medical claims billing and accounts receivable management including claims submission, denials and appeals, patient payments, payment plans and outside collections. Duties and responsibilities include: Submit corrected claims and follow up on appeals and denials. Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Director of the Health Information Management department, the Coder II (RHIA) (RHIT) (CCS) is an advanced coding position responsible for providing a second level review of codes assigned to medical diagnoses and clinical procedures. The Coder II will be assigning diagnostic and procedure codes based on abstracted information from the medical record utilizing ICD10-CM, ICD10 PCS, and CPT.
