Job Description Job Description This is not a remote position. Responsibilities : Maintains accurate and available patient health information by gathering records from appropriate hospital departments and scanning those records into the facility's electronic records system. Retrieves information from the system for fulfillment of health information requests from patients, legal representatives, other health care facilities, insurance companies, etc, as appropriate and in accordance with HIPPAA and facility guidelines. Timely conversion of data from paper health information charts to electronic health information charts via scanning. Pick up charts from previous day from various hospital departments and bring back to the Health Information department for scanning as well as using patient listings to ensure that all the previous day's records are present.
