Position Summary
The Physician Supervisor (Associate Medical Director) is responsible for providing professional medical services to patients in accordance with standards of practice in Corrections and community standards, as well as the Bureau of Health Services Policies, Procedures, and Standards. The Associate Medical Director attends to the medical needs of patients, diagnoses and treats illness and injuries, and arranges for professional consultation when warranted. In conjunction with the Health Service Manager, they supervise the development and implementation of treatment protocols and patient workflows. This position supervises physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners at designated regional institutions.
